DPA

Data Processing Agreement

This Data Processing Agreement governs the processing of personal data by UseHirable on behalf of organisations that use the platform to receive or manage job applications.

It is intended to satisfy data processing agreement requirements under GDPR, UK GDPR, Nigerian data protection law, and equivalent applicable laws.

Scope

Where UseHirable processes personal data submitted by individual job seekers to operate the platform for those individuals, UseHirable acts as a data controller. This DPA applies only where UseHirable acts as a processor for an identified controller organisation.

This DPA is a template for organisations entering into a data processing relationship with UseHirable and must be executed as a separate signed agreement.

Processing Details

UseHirable processes personal data for the purpose of transmitting job applications submitted by candidates through the platform and for ancillary processing necessary to operate that transmission.

  • Receiving and storing job application data.
  • Transmitting application data to the controller's designated systems or personnel.
  • Maintaining records of submissions for operational, security, and compliance purposes.

Categories of Personal Data

  • Candidate name and email address.
  • CV or resume content, including work history, education, and skills.
  • Cover letter content.
  • Job preferences and application settings.
  • Application metadata including submission timestamps and status.

Processor Obligations

UseHirable will process personal data only on documented instructions, maintain confidentiality, implement appropriate security measures, assist with data subject rights where reasonably possible, and delete or return data at the end of the processing relationship unless retention is required by law.

Sub-processors and Transfers

UseHirable may use third-party sub-processors for platform operations and will impose data protection obligations equivalent to those in this DPA.

Where international transfers require safeguards, UseHirable will use appropriate mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK Addendum where applicable.
